Art History Project: Visual Literacy
Step One: select a work of art that reflects the realities and/or perceptions of the historic period. Google images search is a good place to start.
Step Two: research the image. Read about the artist's intent, and how the image has been viewed over the years and interpreted.
Step Three: open your THINGLINK account (www.thinglink.com) and place the image on your account. TAG the image with information you would like to share with your colleagues about how the artwork reflects historic realities. Be sure to try to find a short video clip that speaks about the image's history or the history that the image connects to.
Step Four: Conduct a VTS guided discussion in class.
Step Five: share your research with everyone in class (thinglink)
